Government of Georgia – Appearance 2009

Prime Minister Meets Diplomats Print Version

Prime Minister Meets DiplomatsOn 8 September 2009, Prime Minister Nika Gilauri of Georgia met the Georgian diplomatic corps in Courtyard Marriott.

The Prime Minister gave specific instructions to the diplomats. In particular, in countries where they work, they must deliver information on positive economic changes in Georgia and attract investors.

"Our main job will be to attract investments from the countries where they work. Georgia has seen a large number of positive economic changes recently. Let's cite Fitch Ratings or those of any other international agency.

These changes have to be made known to the investment community, to the investors now looking for additional markets to invest their moneys.

For this we have our ambassadors with plenty of information. They will get back to their workplaces and provide maximum information to our potential investors.
We have a very attractive website (www.georgia.gov.ge) for investors. Besides, as you know, we are launching a new advertising campaign in various TV companies and newspapers of the world.

I'd like to remind everyone again that any investment made in Georgia means the creation of new jobs," Nika Gilauri said.
