The Prime-Minister of Georgia met with Bernard Lapasset- the chairman of International Rugby BoardOn November 18, 2010, Nika Gilauri, Prime Minister of Georgia met with Bernard Lapasset- the chairman of International Rugby Board, Jean-Claude Baqué- the president of Euro Nika Gilauri, Minister of Sport and Youth Affairs Lado Vardzelashvili, and the leadership of IRB took part in the opening ceremony of the base of Shevardeni pean Association and Mark Egan - IRB's Head of Development and Performance on their one-day visit to Georgia at the chancellery of the government.

Before holding the said meeting, Nika Gilauri, Minister of Sport and Youth Affairs Lado Vardzelashvili, and the leadership of IRB took part in the opening ceremony of the base of "Shevardeni".

 

The Prime-Minister of Georgia noted that "It's important that the chairman of IRB has arrived to Georgia, "Cartu Group" has funded the construction of the stadium and I'd like to thank for the support rendered. Rugby is becoming more and more popular... One of the significant issues will be to hold U-20s Championship in Georgia, Rugby has the great potential and it will be reflected in results in future".
