On January 26, 2010 Nika Gilauri, the Prime Minister of Georgia, was on a one-day visit to the Republic of Armenia, where a Meeting of Intergovernmental Commission for Georgian-Armenian Economic Collaboration was arranged.
Within the visit, the Prime Minister of Georgia met Mr. Serzh Sargsian, the President of Armenia, and Mr. Tigram Sarkisian, the Prime Minister.
As Nika Gilauri noted he is satisfied with the meeting.
"I had meetings with the President and the Prime Minister of Armenia. There was a Meeting of Intergovernmental Commission held, whereat we discussed a lot of issues. We signed the energy profile document according to which a new line will be constructed between Georgia and Armenia and therefore, we will be able to exchange more electric power. We also talked about cultural issues.
Such meetings are very important. We reached an agreement on utterly all the matters. Such meetings will support maintaining and extension of relations between the two countries.
The following Meeting of Commission will be held in summer in Batumi", - the Prime Minister said.
