Meeting of the Government as of April 10, 2010

Meeting of the Government as of April 10, 2010 The meeting of the Government of Georgia was held on 10 April 2010. The agenda consisted of 45 items.

At the beginning of the meeting, Prime Minister of Georgia Nika Gilauri asked and the members of the Government honored the air crash victims with a minute of silence.

"This morning, the aircraft of the President of Poland has crashed, killing 130 people on board, including the President of Poland and his wife.

I'd like to express my condolences to the people of Poland. I'd like to express our grief over the tragic death of the great person who was the greatest friend of Georgian people. I'd like to ask the Government members to honor the victims with a minute of silence...

I'd like to draw the public attention to one more tragedy. It's about the events unfolding in Kirgizstan. Dozens of people have been killed and many have been critically wounded in Kirgizstan. Kirgizstan, be it the opposition or the government, is asking for humanitarian aid. We have decided to allocate a humanitarian mission. This is not a political decision.
This is a pure humanitarian mission that we want to send and we'll do our best to send them to Kirgizstan as soon as possible...," Nika Gilauri said.
