On June 9, 2011 Airline Company China Southern Airlines conducted the first direct Tbilisi-Ürümqi flight. On the above-mentioned flight Mr. Ailigen Yimingbahai, Chairman of People's Congress of Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region of the People's Republic of China, visited Georgia.
From now on the flights of China Southern Airlines shall be conducted regularly three times a week - on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, by Boeing 737 and Boeing 757 type planes.
Airline Company China Southern Airlines offers the passengers from Georgia flights in transit through Ürümqi in the direction of China and 169 cities of other 
countries of the world.
