Prime-Minister of Georgia Nika Gilauri held a briefing Prime-Minister of Georgia Nika Gilauri held a briefing on 17th of June 2011 regarding personnel replacements in Government. Here is the speech that was made by him:

"I want to greet you and inform about changes in Georgian government. Kakha Baindurashvili has decided to continue his activities in a private sector. At this stage he will be a supervisory board chairman of Georgian Post. It is very good that reforms will be implemented in this organization too.

First of all I want to thank Kakha for those works that he had carried out for our country during these years. The year 2009 was a very hard one for the whole world from economical point of view. Georgia has overcome crisis very quickly and it is Kakha's merit. Fiscal stimulation packet was implemented in 2009 that helped the country to overcome the crisis. Economical growth has started after this fact and it had achieved its highest indicator in 2010. Budget deficit has decreased from 9.2% to 3.4% and it is his merit too.

Besides, the problem of foreign debt management is removed completely. New tax code, new services, electronic service, disappearing of customs problems - many reforms were implemented at the Ministry of Finances and I want to thank Kakha for these works.

As for a new minister I want to introduce Dimitri Gvindadze. He has been working at the Ministry of Finances for six tears. He had worked on foreign debts until now.

Georgia was successful in these activities several months ago when we had issued 10 year Eurobond that was one of the most successful transactions at world financial market during this year. It is Dimitri's merit too. As you know Conference was held in 2008 where 4.5 billion dollars were allocated to Georgia. All were convinced that Georgia wouldn't be able to utilize it as there were many problems.

It is due to Dimas works that more than half from 4.5 billion dollars is already in Georgia and our country will get the remaining amount in following years.

Dima has carried out much work in this direction. We have decided to promote him for his successful works. In several days he will start his activities as a Minister of Finances of Georgia."
