On February 16, 2011, the Prime Minister of Georgia, Nika Gialuri, paid a one-day working visit to Armenia. Within the framework of the visit, Nika Gilauri met with the President of Armenia, Serzh Sargsyan, and the Prime 
Minister, Tigran Sargsyan. After the meeting with the Prime Minister of Armenia, a joint press-conference was held for media representatives.
"The main topicts of the press conference were joint management of border and the new Tax Code of Georgia. (The new Tax Code) is efficient for transit countries, such as Armenia. We have discussed other infrastructural projects that are very important for our cooperation in the future." The Prime Minister of Georgia, Nika Gilauri and the Prime Minister of Armenia, Tigran Sargsyan:
"It was very interesting for both parties to share experience in such issues as inflation processes.
At present, Georgia and Armenia are not the only countries suffering from inflation. This is a regional and global problem," declared the Prime Minister of Georgia at the press conference held in Yerevan.
