Prime Minister’s visit to Italy

Union of Industries - Business ForumOn April 17-19, 2011 the Prime Minister of Georgia Nika Gilauri was in Italy on a working visit.Business Forum with Italian Enterpreneurs

The Prime Minister met with the Chairman of the Italian Parliament, Gianfranco Fini, and at the Union of Industries introduced Georgian business environment to Italian businessmen.

"Presentation of the Georgian economy was made before Italian businessmen, causing great interest and arousing a desire to goPrime Minister of Georgia Nika Gilauri and Vice Prime Minister of Italy Gianni Letta to Georgia, they want to try to make investments in different fields. As it has turned out several companies have already Prime Minister of Georgia Nika Gilauri and Speaker of Parliament of Italy Gianfranco Finiarrived and signed contracts in Georgia on making investments in energy, infrastructural projects and agricultural projects as well. Let us see what shall be the outcome. I hope in future there will be quite a great interest on the part of Italian business and private sector to study the investment environment in Georgia" - the Prime Minister of Georgia pointed out after the meeting with representatives of business circles.

After the meeting with SACE President, Giovali Castelanete, (Italian Export Credit Insurance and Financial Services Group) the Prime Minister of Georgia stated that "it is important to discuss economic relations. We had a meeting with SACE President. SACE is an investment institution which is greatly interested in making ItaliaPrime Minister of Georgia Nika Gilauri  and Minister of Economic Development of Italy Paolo Romanin companies to invest".

NikPrime Minister of Georgia Nika Gilauri and President of Union of Industries Aurelio Reginaa Gilauri met also with Vice Prime Minister, Gianni Letta, and the Italian Minister of Economic Development, Paolo Romani.
