Presentation of 1000 LariVoucher in Shubitidze’s FamilyToday, a Prime Minister of Georgia, Mr. VanoMerabishvili visited a family of Shubitidze living in Rustavi. The Prime Minister personally introduced the rule of use of a 1000-Lari voucher that will be delivered to each family from January 1, 2013 within the 4-year governmental program "More Benefit to People". According to VanoMerabishvili's statement, despite the fact that the government plans to increase pensions, creates preliminary conditions for the employment of its citizens and makes healthcare more applicable, no one knows all problems and demands of the concrete family better that this family and their members themselves.

The 1000-Lari voucher program will be presented to the Parliament by the Government in October and it will start operation from January 1, 2013. The voucher will be valid during four years and each family will be able to use money in amount of 250 Lari annually. The families shall decide themselves how to use the mentioned voucher - whether they pay expenses for electricity, gas, water or other communication means, purchase textbooks for their children, buy the needed medicines, or shall they supply fuel and fertilizer for agricultural works either hire the agricultural machinery.
