The Prime Minister, Vano Merabishvili, visited Ivandidi Village of Khoni region, where he met with local population, introduced a new four-year government plan More Profit to the People to them and got information on problems having place in the village from them.
Vano Merabishvili inspected cleaning works of Khoni-Samtredia main irrigation channel carried out in the village, which have started on July 20. The abovementioned channel has not been cleaned since 1993, due to which the population of Samtredia region has had a problem of irrigation water. In October of the current year, as a result of completion of rehabilitation of 62 km section of the irrication channel, water supply will be restored in seven villages of Samtredia Region, at the area of 3,000 hectare, for agricultural plots of lands in the ownership of 850 families.
