The Prime Minister of Georgia, Vano Merabisvili, inspected rehabilitation works of rescuer's irrigation system at Partskhanakanebi Village and Kvitiri Village of Tskaltubo Region, which are implemented within the framework of a new government program on social-economic development of Imereti Region. The project includes rehabilitation of 24 km section of the irrigation system, by means of which 1,000 hectares in possession of 850 families will be irrigated in Partskhanakanebi, Kvitiri, Geguti, Patriketi, Tkachiri, Ofshkviti and Maglaki Villages.
The Prime Minister pointed out once more that one of the main priorities of the new government is supporting agriculture. According to the very four-year government program More Profit to the People, irrigation of additional 90,000 hectares shall be implemented, an integral part of which is rehabilitation of rescuer's irrigation system.
