The Prime Minister visits a clinic under construction in Vani Print Version

The Prime Minister of Georgia, Vano Merabishvili, visited the City of Vani, where rehabilitation works of the city clinic are carried out within the framework of a new government program of Social-Economic Development of Imereti Region. This is to be mentioned that the main problem for Vani population is absence of a modern clinic.

During the meeting, Vano Merabishvili introduced the agreement made with managing companies of regional hospitals to personnel of the clinic, according to which, from September 1, 2012, minimal net salary of a doctor's assistant will amount to GEL 200 per month at medical institutions under their subordination. Salaries of those doctor's assistants, whose net salary amounted to GEL 200 to GEL 359 before, will grow by 20%, while that of doctor's assistants, whose net salary amounted to GEL 350 to GEL 500, will grow by 10%. Apart from this, insurance companies have undertaken responsibility to provide the whole personnel of their hospital network with insurance, from August 1, 2012. The Prime Minister has also emphasized the importance of growing salaries of other medical personnel in parallel with growth of salaries of doctor's assistants.

Rehabilitation of Vani medical center started on July 20 of 2012 and will be finished in 2013. In total, 45 persons including 19 doctors and 16 doctor's assistances are employed in the clinic.
