The Prime Minister of Georgia visits Romelashvilis’ family deceased due to 2008 Russian aggressionToday, the Prime Minister of Georgia, Vano Merabishvili, and the Minister of Defence, Dimitri Shashkin, visited Giorgi and Gela Romelashvilis' family, who died during Russia-Georgia war of August, 2008.
The prime Minister thanked the family of deceased in the war of August, 2008, on behalf of Georgia, and pointed out that their families would always be under the state care.

The Prime Minister talked about a new concept of the Ministry of Defence, one of the main components of which is a total care of military servants and their families from the State. The concept will take effect from the year 2013.
The Prime Minister also pointed out that one of the streets in Gori would be named by Romelashvili brothers.

Lieutenant Giorgi and Corporal Gela Romelashvilis served at Gori armoured battalion; they have been awarded by Vakhtang Gorgasal's Order of 1st degree, as well as by medals "Devoted for the Country" and "for Military Bravery."
Giorgi and Gela died heroically on August 9, 2008, during the Russia-Georgia war. They have sacrificed themselves for liberty of Georgia.
