The Prime Minister of Georgia, Vano Merabishvili, visits National Educational Center of Family Medicine Print Version

The Prime Minister of Georgia and the Minister of Labour, Health and Social Affairs, Zurab Chiaberashvili, continue inspection of healthcare system, which will have to receive an increased flow of insured people from September 1. Today, on August 10, after presentation of a hot line of the Ministry of Health, 1505, Vano Merabishvili and Zurab Chiaberashvili have visited National Educational Center of Family Medicine.

During his speech to employees of the center, the Prime Minister pointed out that within the framework of a new government program More Profit to the People, from September 1, number of insured people will be increased by 900,000 persons. Subsequently, address rate of patients to medical institutions will increase, to which the healthcare system shall meet prepared.

During his speech, Vano Merabishvili also emphasized necessity of increase of salaries of medical personnel in parallel of increase of address rate of patients to medical institutions. Apart from this, the Prime Minister called for representatives of healthcare field to participate in reforms carried out by the State.
