The Prime Minister of Georgia and the Minister of Labour, Health and Social Affairs, Zurab Chiaberashvili, continue meetings with representatives of healthcare system, who will have to receive an increased flow of insured people within the framework of a new four-year government program More Profit to the People, from September 1.

On August 10, Vano Merabishvili and Zurab Chiaberashvili got acquainted with operation of a hot line of the Ministry of Health, 1505, and on August 11, they met with doctors of primary healthcare field at National Educational Center of Family Medicine.

Today, Vano Merabishvili and Zurab Chiaberashvili have held a closing meeting with representatives of the Ministry of Labour, Health and Social Affairs. During his speech, the Prime Minister pointed out that Georgian government takes measures in advance, in order, that in case of sharp growth of address of insured people from September 1, flows to be distributed and a hot line of the Ministry of Health and doctors of primary healthcare field to serve without impediment to insurance policy holders. Vano Merabishvili called for representatives of the Ministry of health to mobilize their resources and pass on regime of emergency, in order to avoid feasible problems.

From September 1, 2012, additional policies will be given to 550,000 pensioners, 250,000 all pre-school children from 0 to 5 years of age, 100,000 students, persons of limited ability of the 1st category and all children of limited abilities.
