The Prime Minister of Georgia, Vano Merabishvili and members of Georgian government have paid a visit to Guria Region, where they will meet with local population, listen to their problems get them acquainted with a new four-year government program More Profit to the People.
Within the framework of the visit, Vano Merabishvili inspected Sandomi confectionary plant at Makvaneti Village, Guria Region. The Prime Minister got acquainted with production process taking place at the plant and future development plans. Vano Merabishvili emphasized importance of small enterprises like that, with respect to develop agriculture and overcome unemployment.
There are up to 50 local people employed at Sandomi confectionary plant. The plant produces 40 different kinds of sweets and plans 40 more different kinds of confectionary in the future, which will increase production and in parallel, number of employed people.
