The Prime Minister inspects process of giving compensations to population suffering from natural disaster in Vachnadziani VillageToday, the Prime Minister of Georgia, Vano Merabishvili, arrived to Vachnadziani Village of Gurgaani Region, where the process of giving monetary compensations to local population suffered from natural disaster occurred on July 19 is under way. The Prime Minister observed the process of giving compensations and participated in it as well. Vano Merabishvili expressed his hope that the compensation received will reimburse a great part of the loss inflicted to Kakheti population as a result of the natural disaster.

According to the decision of the government of Georgia, those suffered from the natural disaster have been divided into three categories: population in the first category, who has lost 100% of harvest, will receive from GEL 1,300 to GEL 1,500, in the form of compensation. Population in the second category who has lost 70% of harvest, will receive from GEL 800 to GEL 900, while citizens in the third category, who has lost 50% of harvest, will be delivered from GEL 300 to GEL 500.
