The Prime Minister of Georgia meets with representatives of the field of energyThe Prime Minister of Georgia, Vano Merabishvili, met with representatives of the field of energy at the government chancellery and talked about problems existing in the field of energy and ways of solving them.

At the meeting, Vano Merabishvili pointed out that electricity consumption has almost doubled in Georgia, during the last seven years. Sharp growth of consumption has affected high quality electricity supply in regions that makes threat to sites equipped with high technology, such as clinics and enterprises. The Prime Minister assigned to the new Minister of Energy, Vakhtang Balavadze, to work out a plan of solving the abovementioned problem in the shortest period of time.

At the meeting, process of installing individual counters has also been discussed, which will be finished in 2013, as well as the process of gasification.
