The Prime Minister visits Rustavi and Kakheti Villages suffered from natural disaster Print Version

Last night, the Prime Minister of Georgia, Vano Merabishvili, visited Rustavi, a city suffered from hard rain and hail, where he inspected results of the natural disaster, along with the Governor of Kvemo Kartli, David Kirkitadze. The Prime Minister talked to local population and declared that construction groups will immediately start repairing damaged houses and restoring roads and communications.

After Rustavi, Vano Merabishvili arrived to Gurjaani, where he held a special headquarters meeting at local government building. At the meeting, the Prime Minister received information on loss inflicted by the natural disaster from the Administrators of Kahketi regions. Vano Merabishvili declared that in the given case, the government will act according to the plan used during liquidation of results of natural disaster occurred on July 19 in Kakheti region: Upon finishing the natural disaster, the construction groups will start repairing damaged roofs; engineering divisions of the Ministry of Defence will start road cleaning works; representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture will study the existing condition on site and determine plan of further action for saving vineyards; groups of the Ministry of Energy will start electricity restoration works, while the Ministry of Health, along with representatives of local government, will start to study and describe the loss inflicted, in order that compensations are given on time. According to the Prime Minister, liquidation works of results of the natural disaster in Kakheti Region will be coordinated by Levan Bezhashvili, according to instruction of the President.
