Prime Minister visited several companies in city of Rustavi Print Version

Today, the Prime Minister of Georgia Vano Merabishvili visited the city of Rustavi, where over the next consecutive days he will see several industrial facilities.

At first, Prime Minister visited the only manufacturer of nitrogen fertilizers in the region of South Caucasus, chemical enterprise "Azot". Company representatives introduced Vano Merabishvili with production process and the company expansion plans, after implementation of which performance of "Azot" will double. Prime Minister also took an interest in enterprise working conditions. The company currently employs 2335 people and their average salary is 850 Lari. The company exports its own production in USA and many countries of Europe.

Later, Prime Minister visited "Car manufacturing company" LLC and viewed manufacturing process. Vano Merabishvili paid attention to the fact that the cars produced by the factory are almost completely made of parts of local production and their assembling are also carried out on site. The enterprise currently employs 650 people and their average salary is 700 Lari. The company carries out fundamental and maintenance repair of freight and passenger cars of all types, manufactures tank-cars for oil transportation and will soon begin production of container carriers. The main customers of the company are Georgian Railways and Armenian Railways and Ukraine private companies.
