Government meeting was held at the Government Administration of Georgia. The Cabinet discussed 29 issues according to the agenda, 3 issues were postponed for the additional consideration, 26 issues were approved.
The Government approved the project, presented by the Ministry of Health, according to which, the special funding for the medical institutions is increased by 2 million GELs. The changes refer to the clinics in mountainous regions, salaries of rural doctors and nurses will be increased. As a result of the changes in the mentioned resolution, the Ministry of Health will provide the medicines to pregnant women, in order to prevent the deaths of mothers and children.
The Cabinet approved the program for social rehabilitation and child care. Unlike the previous year, Subprogram of Emergency Assistance to the Families with Children in Crisis will be added to the program, which will meet the primary needs of the families with children in poverty. In addition, domestic subsidies will be allocated for the veterans and war participants will be compensated for social package.
The government also approved a draft resolution, according to which the Ministry of Finance will provide additional 10 million GELs for the restoration of Kvariati-Sarpi section of international Senaki-Poti-Sarpi highway (along the coastal strip) of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure.
Today, Ministry of Economy presented a draft resolution at the meeting, according to which Terasa LTD in Village Khizabavra will be transferred to Giorgi Natenadze for 10 thousand GELs, who will cultivate Meskhetian vine after the rehabilitation of the complex. Natenadze will invest million and employ 150 local residents.
In addition, 7 plots of land will be transferred to Union of Blind in Georgia for one GEL in different regions. The mentioned decision of the government will give opportunity to the blind people to realize their abilities, which will increase their social activeness and their involvement in civil activities. In Tskneti, rehabilitation building for children's hospice will be allocated, functioning of which will be funded by Open Society Georgia foundation.
