Successful co-operation in various fields and links between Georgia and the Republic of Bulgaria were main themes on the agenda of discussions during the meeting between the Georgian and Bulgarian Prime Ministers.

Boyko Borisov hosted Irakli Garibashvili at the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Bulgaria.
The two prime ministers discussed the ongoing co-operation in the sectors of transport and trade, highlighting the potential for further deepening economic relations between the two countries. It was emphasised, in this context, that the Economic Commission due to meet in January of 2016 will further encourage the development of economic ties between Georgia and Bulgaria. The Bulgarian Prime Minister reaffirmed his government's unequivocal support for Georgia's European and Euro-Atlantic aspirations, as well as for the country's sovereignty and territorial integrity. Talking points also included democratic reforms that have been carried out in Georgia and the progress the country has achieved on the European and Euro-Atlantic integration path. The Georgian Prime Minister thanked his Bulgarian counterpart for taking part in the implementation of various components of the Substantial NATO-Georgia Package.

Special attention was also paid to the challenges facing the region and the world as a whole.
