Talks regarding the transfer of ownership over Leuville Chateu to Georgia have entered the final stage - Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili told journalists in Paris.

According to the Prime Minister, a few months ago the Georgian Government allocated additional funds to sort out technical papers for Leuville Chateau, a step that was never taken under the previous governments. Irakli Garibashvili added that the Georgian Ministry of Justice, the Office of the State Minister for Diaspora Issues and the Georgian Embassy to France are also actively involved in the process.

The Georgian Prime Minister expressed the hope that the process will have a successful outcome.
"I am confident that the descendants of our ancestors will bring the process through to the finish and Leuville Chateu will be returned to the Georgian people, to our state. The way we are going to use this estate is also very important. Upon my instruction, the Georgian Embassy to France has developed an interesting concept. The State Minister's Office for Diaspora Issues has also contributed to its development. Once the ownership transfer procedures are completed, I think we should put the estate to the use of young people. Leuville Chateu should become the centre of Georgian culture at the heart of France. I wish to once again reaffirm our strong determination to complete the process. What has not been done over the past 25 years, we achieved in a few months' time" - Irakli Garibashvili said.
