Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili commented on the Meeting of NATO Foreign Ministers due to be held in Brussels tomorrow. Irakli Garibashvili expressed the hope that Georgia will become a member of NATO.

"It may happen tomorrow, the day after tomorrow or some time in the future- It is difficult to forecast the exact date taking into account the current international situation" - the Georgian Prime Minister told journalists in Paris.

According to Irakli Garibashvili, the Georgian Government waits for the NATO Summit in Warsaw and does not want to create any particular expectation for the population at the given stage.

"It is the recommendation of the NATO Secretary General and the Alliance member countries for our Government not to lead the population into error or create certain expectations and hopes, which may not come true. It is necessary for us to pursue this process calmly. We do what we have to do extremely well and have no backlogs" - the Prime Minister said.

According to Irakli Garibashvili, Georgia follows a plan for the implementation of the Substantial NATO-Georgia Package endorsed at the Wales Summit. It is a scheduled plan and all requirements under it are effectively fulfilled. As the Prime Minister emphasised, the rest depends on the situation in the region.

"The world today is different from that even a year ago. We should take into consideration all real factors and avoid lies. We are following the plan step by step but we cannot do what is beyond our possibilities. We cannot do what is up to our partners and NATO to decide. Hence I wish to call on everyone not to make too much noise about it or set unrealistic expectations. We should pursue this process calmly and everyone should do their own duties" - Garibashvili said.
