Cabinet Discusses Produce in Georgia Program Print Version

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili and the Cabinet discussed the "Produce in Georgia" program at a recent government session.

The Prime Minister announced that the program gained two new sub-components in the hotel industry and film industry development sectors, and stated a new food production plane would be set up in Tibaani.

Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Dimitry Kumsishvili reiterated the importance of developing the film industry, including encouraging international movies and television programs to film in Georgia, to create new jobs and advance professional development in the field.
The Minister also noted that the hotel component of the "Produce in Georgia" program is expected to generate approximately $1.8 million in revenue.

The "Produce in Georgia" program seeks to encourage the development of Georgian entrepreneurship.
