Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili issued a statement discussing the COP21 conference in Paris and the role of Georgia and the international community in combating climate change.
"Today, we have reached the critical point, when we need to come together and combat climate change, as well as terrorism and evil," stated Prime Minister Garibashvili.
He continued, "Unfortunately, many do not understand the importance of the issues, like global warming and climate conditions, which we have discussed with the world leaders. For centuries, people have not paid attention to these issues. Today, I had the opportunity to talk to world leaders about these issues. It is important for Georgia to participate in conferences of such level."
The Prime Minister reaffirmed that Georgia remains committed to all necessary measures and reforms.
