By the chairmanship of the Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Garibashvili the government session was held at the Government Administration. The Cabinet of Ministers discussed 32 items of the agenda. The Draft Government Decree regarding the determination of the category of national significance of the intangible cultural heritage monument "the live culture of three scripts of the Georgian alphabet" was approved at today's session. Intangible cultural heritage includes the following: three scripts of the alphabet, functional diversity of their use and live culture of coexistence, Georgian language, alphabet teaching methods as well as live practices of arts and crafts. Three scripts of the Georgian alphabet together with its elements is the most significant factor in forming and defining Georgian cultural identity. Georgian language and the alphabet is one of the main pillars for consolidation of Georgian society and contribute to the formation of the Georgian nation. Therefore, it is one of the foundations of Georgian statehood.
