The Government Session, chaired by the Prime Minister, Irakli Garibashvili was held at the Government Administration. The Cabinet discussed 27 issues on the Agenda.
According to the Government decision, the amendments will be introduced to the Law of Georgia "State Compensation and State Academic Scholarship" - GEL 1000 compensation will be set for the families of police officers killed on duty. According to the draft law, GEL 1000 compensation will be set for the families of the Interior Ministry employees, who had fallen as heroes or died from the duty related wounds, since the declaration of independence of Georgia.
The project aims to make the improvement of social conditions of the families of the policemen, who have died on duty, as subject of special state care and give them the better guarantees for the improvement of mentioned conditions. It should be noted that they will receive the state compensation during the public activities, together with the other compensations and pension.
1000 GEL state compensation will be set for the family members of the Interior Ministry employees on duty, who have died as a result of: preventive police action; capturing the criminals or crime fighting; attack or when protecting the public safety and/or combat operations; attack connected with the duty; rescuing a citizen's life or as a result of duty related wounds.

During the today's Government Session, the State Program on insuring the measures of first phase of Hepatitis C management was approved. In the first phase, those beneficiaries, who require emergency treatment in the first stage will be included in the program. In the first stage, the program covers the care for the patients with liver failure.

The patients' selection will be carried out at the commission, according to the inclusion criteria. Within the program, the following is set out: the diagnosis and treatment components, the application of patients' inclusion criteria, the treatment regimes, the patient registration rules and requirements for the supplier entity, the logistics activities, the diagnostic group prices and the program management measures.
