Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili held a meeting with Radu Liviu, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Romania to Georgia. The parties discussed the main issues of the relations between Georgia and Romania and prospects of future cooperation. The Romanian Ambassador congratulated Giorgi Kvirikashvili on the successful parliamentary elections and his reappointment as Prime Minister.

During the meeting, the great potential of political, economic, defense, cultural, and tourism cooperation was also discussed. Special attention was paid to the trade and economic relations between the two countries and opportunities for developing transport and energy corridors.

The Ambassador of Romania reaffirmed support for Georgia's integration into NATO and emphasized Georgia's prospects of accession to Euro-Atlantic structures and the country's success in the process of visa-liberalization.
