The Government has also approved the draft Ordinances implying elaboration of the important documents on spatial planning in Akhmeta, Tusheti, Mestia and Mulakhi. Settlements located on the respective territories lacked the spatial planning general plans. However, municipalities are unique in terms of their historic-geographic location, preserved natural ecosystems, natural and cultural landscapes, material and non-material historical-cultural heritage and system of protected territories. Due to the large recreational and touristic potential of these areas as well as possibility of establishing world class complexes here, it is crucial to elaborate a blueprint document that will ensure planned rather than sporadic development of these territories and will increase their investment attractiveness while preserving cultural-historical heritage of the areas.

Pursuant to the amendments, the maximum funding available for the grape processing enterprises will be increased from 600 000 USD to 2 million USD. This ensures creation and expansion of the large-capacity grape processing enterprises and as a result, the ability to purchase more grapes from the farmers during the harvest period. Within the frames of the preferential agro-lending system, the co-financing of the interests of the loan obtained for the purpose of purchasing real assets by the "NELP Agriculture Projects Management Agency" is envisaged. Within the frames of the project, 20 new grape processing enterprises were established and 39 pre-existing ones were re-equipped.
