"From the bottom of my heart, I would like to thank you for your selflessness and heroism. I am proud to see such courageous people in our country," Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili addressed firefighters/rescuers, soldiers from the Interior Ministry's Special Tasks Department, and foresters and doctors. "You have saved hundreds of hectares of forest. Too bad it happened in the first place, but it could have been much worse had it not been for your heroism. Thank you all," the Prime Minister said.

The firefighting operations involved 650 employees of the Interior Ministry's Special Tasks Department and 900 employees of the Emergency Management Agency, including firefighters/rescuers, twenty Border Police pilots, and employees of the National Forestry Agency, also police officers and doctors, representatives of the energy and infrastructure sectors. The operations employed dozens of heavy machinery units and aviation. Toi tackle the disaster, over 1,000 service members for the First Infantry Brigade of the Eastern Army of the Land Forces at the Defense Ministry and the Engineer Brigade and relevant machinery will remain in the Borjomi Force until the completion of the firefighting operations.
