Today Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili held a meeting with Prime Minister Stefan Löfven of the Kingdom of Sweden.
The parties discussed the key issue of bilateral relations, the advancement of cooperation in different areas, and the issues to be discussed at the Eastern Partnership Summit.
The Prime Minister of Georgia thanked the Swedish Government for its support under development cooperation.
The parties commended the advancement of the two countries' bilateral economic relations, pointing out that, in the first nine months of 2017, the trade turnover with Sweden increased by 38.5%.
The Georgian Prime Minister also provided his Swedish counterpart with information about Georgia's investment climate, implemented reforms, and leading positions in international rankings.
The parties also discussed the situation in Georgia's occupied territories. The Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Sweden reaffirmed support of Georgia's sovereignty and territorial integrity within its internationally recognized borders.
