    UN Day Reception

    „This year marks the 25th anniversary of Georgia's membership in the UN. I would like to say with pride that over this period, we have managed to transform our country from a UN humanitarian aid recipient into a regional leader that now serves as the Chair of the Open Government Partnership" - with these words the Prime Minister of Georgia addressed the representatives of the diplomatic corps, international and non-governmental organizations attending the UN Day Reception.

    Prime Minister assessed Georgian delegation’s visit to the US as successful

    In terms of reforms Georgia is truly a leader in the region; the country's economic development is headed in a correct direction; the state has implemented important reforms in that regard; in the beginning of 2017 the most important fiscal and tax reforms were implemented, as a result, there is a positive dynamic in the country - during today's Government meeting Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili commented on the assessments made during the visit of Vice President, Minister of Finance Dimitry Kumsishvili.

    Prime Minister – link between the will of the voters and the responsibility of the Government should further strengthen in our country

    In a few days important Municipal Elections will be held in our country. I am convinced that these elections will be yet another proof that as a result of democratic reforms and changes implemented in our country, holding free and fair elections has become a common practice. I would like to welcome the fact that pre-election period was unprecedentedly calm, all electoral subjects had an opportunity to run free and peaceful campaigns, which demonstrates that "Georgian Dream", the political team in power ensures holding free and democratic, competitive elections.

    Prime Minister conveyed his condolences to the families of 25 heroes who fell in Abkhazia

    "Today we are given the chance to bury the remains of 25 heroes with proper respect. During this whole period their families did not know where the remains of their family members were buried. 24 years ago, on September 27th they were executed and I would like to convey my condolences to the families of each of them, their relatives and whole Georgia.

    Prime Minister opened another enterprise established with state support

    One more enterprise was launched with the state support in Tbilisi, - today Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili opened "Megaproduction", enterprise that produces concrete tiles and is funded within the framework of the "Produce in Georgia" program.
