"It is important to regulate the construction process in Tbilisi and once again pay due attention to the establishment of recreation areas. Kakhi Kaladze has spoken about it on numerous occasions, and I welcome the City Hall's initiative about a significant improvement in this process," the Prime Minister assessed the recent amendments to the Decree on the Rules for Construction Permit Issuance and Permit Terms initiated at today's Government meeting.
According to the Prime Minister, the planned changes will significantly regulate the process of construction in the capital, and will offer new opportunities for more recreation areas.

"The permit issuance process will include an obligation to produce and submit plans for green areas, along with inventories of existing trees. In addition, to receive a construction permit on buildings larger than 4,000 m2, companies will be obligated to submit transport analyses and transport regulation schemes, which is also important as it will assist our developers in that they will no longer have to make additional changes to their projects at final and subsequent stages. As far as I know, preliminary consultations are underway with business representatives, and I am convinced that these amendments will significantly regulate the process of construction in Tbilisi, enabling us to have more rec recreation areas and to have an even more beautiful capital, which is important to everyone," Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili emphasized.
