Mamuka Bakhtadze, Prime Minister of Georgia met with Rosaria Puglisi, Head of NATO Liaison Office in Georgia today.

Meeting was focused on the close cooperation between Georgia and North Atlantic Treaty Alliance (NATO), reforms currently implemented in the country and significant contribution of Georgian military forces to the international peace-keeping operations performed under the aegis of NATO.

It was noted that European and Euro-Atlantic integration of Georgia is a choice made by the Georgian people and Government of Georgia remains loyal to the chosen path. Substantial reforms implemented within this process in Georgia have been praised.

Parties also spoke about the active cooperation towards security in the Black Sea basin.

Discussions were focused on the peace initiative of the Government of Georgia titled as a Step Towards Better Future, which is aimed at the restoration of trust between the conflict-affected societies. Need was expressed for the enforcement of effective international measures towards individuals captured in the Tatunashvili-Otkhozoria List and productive use of International Negotiations of Geneva. Prime Minister of Georgia stated that response of the Government of Georgia towards current challenges is only peace and building of a strong state, which has no alternatives.
