"Signature made by Donald J. Trump, President of the USA on the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) evidences the solid US support towards Georgia at the legislative and executive levels of authority" stated Mamuka Bakhtadze, Prime Minister of Georgia at the press briefing held prior to the Executive Government Meeting today.

Head of the Government of Georgia noted that topics related to Georgia are nowadays more vivid in the political agenda of the USA both in the bilateral and regional contexts.

"Several days ago, Georgia received yet another unprecedented support from our main strategic partner - the USA. US President Donald Trump signed the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), thus reiterating the solid support of the USA towards Georgia at the legislative and executive levels of authority. It is noteworthy that topics related to Georgia - both in the bilateral and regional contexts - tend to be more vividly represented in the political agenda of the USA" stated the Prime Minister of Georgia.

According to the Head of the Government of Georgia, NDAA for 2019 stands out with its most significant wording on the protection of national interests and security of Georgia, along with the regional security.

"Particularly important is the idea of full support towards the Open Door policy, including our accession to NATO at the legislative level of the USA. I wish to once again express my enormous gratitude to our strategic partner for this support. It is yet another clear confirmation of the fact that relations between the USA and Georgia are of strategic nature indeed" concluded the Prime Minister of Georgia.
