"High level visit of the Chancellor of Germany evidences the degree of close relationship between Germany and Georgia" stated Mamuka Bakhtadze, Prime Minister of Georgia at the press briefing held prior to the Executive Government Meeting today.
As noted by the Head of the Government of Georgia, visit of Ms. Angela Merkel includes an economnic component within itself. German businesses will visit Georgia along with the Chancellor Merkel to get engaged in the Round Table Discussions with Georgian entrepreneurs.
"You may well be aware that Ms. Angela Merkel, Chancellor of Germany will arrive in Georgia on August 23, 2018. It will be her first official visit to Georgia. High level visit evidences the degree of close relations between Germany and Georgia. It is worth noting that apart from the political agenda, this visit includes an economic component. Chancellor Merkel will be accompanied by German businesses to get engaged in the Round Table Discussions with Georgian entrepreneurs" stated the Prime Minister of Georgia.
Visit will particularly focus on further deepening the relations between Germany and Georgia, thereby boosting the partnership and friendship between the two countries.
"Visits of the top ranking officials from leading European countries once again confirm that Georgia is a reliable and credible partner of Europe" concluded the Prime Minister of Georgia.
