Mamuka Bakhtadze, Prime Minister of Georgia nominated new Governors for regions of the country.

Shalva Kereselidze will be appointed as Governor of Mtskheta-Mtianeti region. As noted by the Prime Minister, nominee was born in Dusheti and knows the specifics and problems of the region.
"He has a vast experience in interacting with local authorities. He has been managing the Department of Regional Relations within the Ministry of Environment and Agriculture of Georgia. He has a specific vision on how to increase the inclusive economic growth of this most beautiful region of the country" noted the Prime Minister.

Shota Rekhviashvili has been nominated as a Governor of Kvemo Kartli region of Georgia. According to the Prime Minister of Georgia, he has been Deputy Minister of Internally Displaced People from Occupied Territories, Resettlement and Refugees of Georgia, with a vast experience of working in the law enforcement system of the country.
"I believe that he will not spare efforts to make specific steps in Kvemo Karli for the advancement and development of the region" stated the Prime Minister of Georgia.

Besik Amiranashvili has been nominated as a Governor of Samtskhe-Javakheti by the Head of the Government of Georgia. He has been serving as a Director of a Police Department for Imereti, Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti at the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia.
"I wish him success in this very important task" noted the Prime Minister of Georgia.

Giorgi Khojevanishvili has been nominated as a Governor of Shida Kartli by the Head of the Government of Georgia. He will move to the public administration from the private sector of the country.
"He has been working at Magticom so far and has experience in interacting with international agencies and local non-government organizations (NGOs). He has been a Liaison Officer of the Venice Commission to the Georgian National Constitutional Commission" noted the Prime Minister of Georgia.

Alexander Motserelia will become a Governor of Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti region of Georgia.
As noted by the Head of the Government of Georgia, nominee comes to the public administration from the private sector of the country.
"He has a very interesting experience in running business projects in the sector of agriculture. As you may well be aware, inclusive economic growth in the regions of the country is among our main goals and I am confident that he will be able to contribute to this endeavor".

At the same time, Prime Minister announced adjustments to the composition of Deputy Governors in individuals regions. According to the Head of the Government of Georgia, Nino Vibliani will be appointed as a Deputy Governor of Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti region of the country. She has been representing the Municipality in Chuberi village so far.

Zurab Nasaria has been nominated as a Governor of Guria region by the Prime Minister of Georgia. He has a diverse experience in interacting with general public and community groups.
"I believe that Zurab will do his best to transform the life of our citizens in Guria. You all know that we will be implementing very important projects in this region and I am confident that these initiatives will result in a much intensified economic life in Guria" stated the Prime Minister of Georgia.

As for Imereti region, Shavlego Tabatadze has been nominated by the Prime Minister of Georgia as a Governor of the region.
"Shavlego is a Commander of Eastern Land Troopers of the High Military Command of Georgia. He is one of the outstanding servicemen of the country. I wish to tell the general public that within the last two years he was managing very important military trainings of the Georgian composition of the joint exercise. He was engaged in the peace-keeping missions of Georgia and truly stands out among the most successful servicemen of the country. He has a huge contribution to the reinforcement of international security and his personal authority among Georgian soldiers is indeed rather high. I am particularly happy that a person with such a sterling biography is now tasked with this very demanding duty - to govern one of the regions of our country" noted the Prime Minister of Georgia.

As stated by the Head of the Government of Georgia, one of the key priorities of the country is to ensure the equal development of regions. Rural population has plenty of problems and implementation of individual projects is not sufficient. Prime Minister of Georgia also noted that plans designed for the regional development should be carried out seamlessly, completely and with very high degree of discipline.

"Governors assume a very high responsibility to make people in various regions of the country feel that they are taken care of by the authorities of the country. At the same time, it is very important for me to create yet another significant mechanism for interaction with the general public to help us keep a direct link with our citizens and to get their feedback on problems faced in individual villages. We thus need to have a better means to respond to pressing needs in a most efficient manner. Hence, Governors selected by us are now given an opportunity to serve our nation and country with their competences, professionalism, enthusiasm and energy" noted the Prime Minister of Georgia.

Head of the Government of Georgia wished success to Governors in their new duties and noted that this position is best fitted for the implementation of new ideas and vision.

"Huge potential of development and advancement exists in the regions of our country. I am confident that these resources will be used to a greater extent and what is most important - we will be substantially improving the life of our citizens in every corner of the country" concluded Mamuka Bakhtadze, Prime Minister of Georgia.
