Mamuka Bakhtadze, Prime Minister of Georgia congratulated Day of Our Lady Virgin Mary to the entire Georgia. Head of the Government of Georgia attended a festive service at Sioni Cathedral, which was performed by Ilya II, Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia marking the Dormition of the Virgin today.
Prime Minister of Georgia addressed the congregation after the service with a request of the Patriarch to congratulate the Day of Our Lady Virgin Mary.
"I congratulate you all with this great day! It is a special celebration for each Georgian. Our multi-ethnic nation marks this outstanding holiday. Georgia is coming under auspices of Our Lady and it is a huge responsibility at the same time to have every believer and citizen choose a Christian route under preaching. I wish to particularly congratulate our citizens in Tskhinvali and Sokhumi, as well as our immigrants in various countries of the world with this special day. Once again, please accept my well-wishing. God safeguard Georgia!" stated the Prime Minister of Georgia.
Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia blessed the Prime Minister along with officials of the executive and legislative authorities of the country gathered at the service and wished patronage of Mother of God for the entire nation.
