"Visit of Angela Merkel has advanced Georgian-German relations to a substantially new level. It has also clearly demonstrated solid support of the German Government towards the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Georgia, as well as towards the European and Euro-Atlantic aspirations of the country" stated Mamuka Bakhtadze, Prime Minister of Georgia at the press briefing held prior to the Executive Government Meeting today.
Head of the Government of Georgia believes that it was a tremendous support towards our country, which was demonstrated by one of the most influential politicians of the world with her visit to Georgia.
"Madam Chancellor has clearly noted all those great achievements that we have towards European integration and in building the European and democratic institutions" stated the Prime Minister of Georgia.
As noted by the Head of the Government of Georgia, it is important to get the high level political relations established between Georgia and Germany reflected in the bilateral economic relations of the two countries.
"Business Forum held with our joint effort in Tbilisi has been very productive. Georgia has a truly great potential to attract additional foreign direct investments (FDI) from Germany and to implement regional projects of very high importance for Europe in terms of energy security. I am confident that we will soon witness the much desired practical realization of our economic potential " concluded the Prime Minister of Georgia.
