Mamuka Bakhtadze, Prime Minister of Georgia met Novruz Mammadov, Prime Minister of Azerbaijan in Baku today. Parties discussed the high level political relations and various aspects of strategic partnership, need to further deepen the trade and economic links between the two countries. Significance of joint efforts was noted for a greater utilization of full potential towards this end.

Face to face meeting was followed with negotiations at the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan in an extended format, which involved the government members of both countries.

Discussions were related to projects of regional significance, which are implemented jointly by Georgia and Azerbaijan. Also, fruitful cooperation was noted in various sectors. Large transport and energy projects were underlined, which will significantly contribute to the energy security of Europe upon their implementation. They will thereby bring additional economic benefit to the countries of the region.
