Prime Minister Comments on the Situation in the Village of Atotsi, Near Occupation Line.

I would like to comment on the situation in the village of Atotsi, near the occupation line. The resumed installation of artificial barriers by the Russian Federation is in line with its occupation policy's signature style since 2008. We will never accept old or new barbed wires, and we will use all mechanisms to stop this process. Our friend countries without exception, along with all involved international organizations, have been informed about this process. We maintain constant contact with the EU Monitoring Mission. I avail myself of this opportunity to thank all our friends for providing rapid response and assessment of this process. We enjoy firm support from the international community, and we are convinced that we will surely stop this injustice.

At the same time, we continue supporting families in the villages along the boundary lines. This year, throughout winter, similar to the previous years, relevant amounts will be allocated from the state budget to provide natural gas supplies to the beneficiaries in said villages and, in 2018-2019, we will continue financing education for students in the villages along the boundary lines.
