"New residential blocks will be constructed for 1700 households currently living in the so called Cardboard City in the vicinity of Batumi" stated Mamuka Bakhtadze, Prime Minister of Georgia at a press briefing held prior to the Executive Government Meeting today.

In the opinion of the Head of Government of Georgia, both socially vulnerable groups and eco-migrants from Adjarian Highlands are living at the current cardboard dwelling location.

"These people live there in most devastating and often life-threatening conditions. Therefore, we have made a significant decision together with the local authority of Adjara to build new residential blocks for over 1700 households. It is significant to note that they will have title ownership on apartments within the designated area" added the Prime Minister of Georgia.
