"Everyone agrees that Europe may not have security guaranteed without one in the Black Sea region. This is a very strong message!" stated Mamuka Bakhtadze, Prime Minister of Georgia when summing up his engagement in the Munich Security Conference (MSC).

Head of Government of Georgia noted that significant supportive statements have been heard from international partners towards integration of the country into the European Union (EU) and North Atlantic Treaty Alliance (NATO).

"Georgia has its vital role in the Black Sea region, which means that our friends will further assist us in strengthening the security systems in Georgia, making our contribution to the protection of the Black Sea region and ultimately of EU and NATO member states. We have heard opinions of several experts, claiming that Russian aggression towards Georgia and Ukraine is solely threatening Eastern Europe, which is not true. It is a challenge for the entire community of freedom on the globe, EU and NATO member states. We have full support in our international aspirations to make Georgia part of EU and NATO by all means. Our country was represented at the Munich Security Conference (MSC2019) this year at an unprecedentedly high level and it may be said without any exaggeration that it was the most successful conference for Georgia and for our delegation" concluded the Prime Minister.
