Today, Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze held a meeting with UNDP Resident Representative in Georgia Louisa Vinton.

The meeting discussed the 2019 priorities of the UN Development Program in Georgia. Georgia's successful implementation and consideration of UNDP plans was pointed out. Louisa Vinton thanked Mamuka Bakhtadze for cooperation and singled out the Georgian Government's active engagement in communication with UN and UNDP.

The meeting also discussed the situation in the occupied territories. The Prime Minister spoke about the importance of UN support in the successful implementation of the Government's peace initiative A Step to a Better Future, namely in terms of ensuring access to education for the populations of the occupied territories and encouraging SMEs.

Special attention during the conversation was also paid to sustainable development and green economy. Mamuka Bakhtadze emphasized the relevance of this area and pointed out the development of green economy as one of the Government's key priorities.
