"Action Plan for Environment and Healthcare will be drafted for 2018-2022 in the nearest future" stated Mamuka Bakhtadze, Prime Minister of Georgia at a regular press-briefing held prior to the Executive Government Meeting today.
According to the Head of Government of Georgia, protection of environment and development of Green Economy is one of the key priorities of the Government. Hence, all-inclusive approach and specific decisions need to be made on the topic.
"We will develop an Action Plan for Environment and Healthcare for 2018-2022 in the nearest future, considering the high priority of the issue, implementation of the plan will be supervised by a special Coordination Council, which is a consultative body of the Government of Georgia under my personal management. It will engage international organizations, experts and civil society" noted the Prime Minister of Georgia.
Head of Government of Georgia will issue specific instructions today to the heads of public institutions engaged in the Coordination Council to carry out a nation-wide situation analysis of drinking water supply and to develop an action plan towards this end.
