As Georgian Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze stated during the briefing before today's Government meeting, the Georgian Government is launching the Produce for a Better Future program for the populations living on both sides of the boundary lines of the Regions of Abkhazia and Tskhinvali.

The project will be implemented under the peace initiative A Step to a Better Future.

According to the Head of Government, the project seeks to ensure the economic empowerment of the populations along the boundary lines and to draw citizens separated by the boundary lines closer together.

"We are proposing a new program, Produce for a Better Future, which launches today. The program involves fostering the economic activities of the citizens living on the both sides of the boundary lines of the Regions of Abkhazia and Tskhinvali, and supporting various projects. The program is unprecedented, and I hope that it will offer additional opportunities for drawing citizens separated by the boundary lines closer together, to establish business relations between them, and to further their close human relations," Mamuka Bakhtadze underlined.
