Georgia will be the first country in the region to build a complex autism center. Today's presentation of the National Autism Center Complex development project was attended by Georgian Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze.
According to the Head of Government, it is symbolic that Georgia launches the construction of the National Center on World Autism Awareness Day. Mamuka Bakhtadze thanked everyone who, over the past decades, have participated in the introduction of services necessary for the development of children and adults with autism.

"I would like to express immense gratitude to the private sector representatives who are actively engaged in this cause of national importance. I urge other companies and Georgian entrepreneurs alike to be more active in this regard. I firmly believe that the National Autism Center will make a tremendous difference in the lives of persons with autism spectrum disorder and in their social integration," Mamuka Bakhtadze emphasized.
The Prime Minister singled out and thanked the Tbilisi City Hall for its years-long support of the program.

Mamuka Bakhtadze attended the presentation in the company of Cabinet members and Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze.
The National Autism Center will be developed by the Autism Research and Support Foundation. This center of regional importance will serve patients with autism, aged 16 and above. The center's services will help them acquire skills necessary for living independently, and will also develop their unique abilities.
