Today, Georgian Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze hosted First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Serbia Ivica Dačić. The meeting discussed the relations and prospects of cooperation across a variety of areas between the countries.
Special emphasis was placed on the positive dynamic of Georgia-Serbia relations and the importance of continuous mutual support on all international platforms.

The parties discussed cooperation in terms sharing experience on the path to European integration. The development of economic ties and their harmonization with political cooperation was emphasized as one of the key priorities in Serbia-Georgia relations.
The meeting emphasized mutual support of sovereignty and territorial integrity. Regional challenges and the situation in Georgia's occupied territories were underlined. The Prime Minister introduced the Foreign Minister of Serbia to the Georgian Government's peace initiative A Step to a Better Future, which seeks to ensure the economic empowerment of the populations along the boundary lines, to simplify their access to various services, and to draw the boundary line-torn communities closer.
The meeting also discussed the cultural and humanitarian cooperation between the two countries, and the importance of further cementing people-to-people contacts for the development of economic and business relations was also emphasized.
The meeting was attended by Georgian Foreign Minister David Zalkaliani.
