Mamuka Bakhtadze, Prime Minister of Georgia visited the construction site of a new rehabilitation complex in Tserovani today. It will enable the military personnel to get rehabilitation of the highest international standards.
Long-term rehabilitation will be possible at the center for the servicemen wounded and injured in the fights for territorial integrity of Georgia and international missions
Head of Government of Georgia focused on the construction of the rehabilitation center, completion of which is planned by the end of the year, and expressed special gratitude to US partners for their support in the implementation of the project.
"New rehabilitation center is being built in Tserovani for our hero servicemen, who got wounded in the fight for territorial integrity of Georgia and international missions. It will be the only healthcare facility of such high standard and advanced technologies in our region. I wish to express special gratitude to our US partners for their support of the project. We announced about our intention to construct this center last summer and it will be completed by the end of the year" noted the Prime Minister of Georgia.
Facility will be equipped with a healing-rehabilitation pool and respectively adapted sports and rehabilitation inventory, which will help the wounded servicemen in getting psychological and physical rehabilitation, as well as in getting prepared for sports tournaments.
Center will include a game field for wheelchair volleyball and basketball.
Prime Minister of Georgia was escorted to Tserovani by Levan Izoria, Minister of Defense of Georgia and MP Irakli Sesiashvili, Chairman of the Defense and Sovereign Security Committee of the Parliament of Georgia.
